Thank you for visiting the website for St. Mary's C.E. Middle School. We are a 9-13 middle school situated on the outskirts of Puddletown, a small village in the beautiful Dorset countryside. We are a church school with an ethos built on the core Christian values of respect, forgiveness, justice, uniqueness, equality, acceptance and kindness.
We look to inspire our school community and give them the tools to thrive in the modern world, summed up by our school aim of 'Inspire today to shape tomorrow'. We are proud to have been assessed as an outstanding church school in our last two Church of England inspections. We expect the highest standards in both academic work and behaviour and we place our children at the centre of everything we do.
The pupils, staff and governors are very proud of our school and we hope that this website will allow you to see why. We look forward to having the opportunity to meet you in person.
ORDERING ON-LINE
(Banner/SWi) and St Mary's have now “Gone Live” with our Direct to Parent purchasing scheme for the following items:
This will mean that as of today you will be able to go on-line and purchase these items - you can click on the word "registration" at the end of this sentence which will take you directly to their website for your initial registration.
We will still hold stocks of school ties, which will now be supplied from Keltic Ties who will be supplying us with Eco Ties made from plastic bottles!! These are the only items of school clothing which need to be purchased in this way.
Please visit our school website to see the full list of uniform required and especially the section regarding school shoes, which has recently been updated.
There are two ways to order items:
If you receive Pupil Premium funding for your child and decide your parental element of the funding should be used, we will be able to order this straight from school, using the attached order form, this is the only reason we will accept the order form in school.
The order form and the guidance notes for registering your own account with the company are below.
I am sure you will find this a useful way of ordering your child’s uniform but if you have any issues then please do not hesitate to speak to the company directly, or the school for further advice.
We expect the children to be smartly dressed in school uniform and ask for your continued co-operation to ensure that it is worn correctly. The school will strictly enforce the rules regarding uniform and pupils may asked to return to change if their uniform is incorrect.

Please be aware that the school cannot provide a list of every rule relating to uniform and that common sense for what would be considered acceptable should be applied. Parents should contact the school office if they have any questions about personal appearance, hairstyles or uniform before any purchase or procedure. We encourage all parents to be fully aware of the uniform rules that will be strictly adhered to when pupils transfer to Thomas Hardye's School at the end of Year 8 which can be found here.
