Thank you for visiting the website for St. Mary's C.E. Middle School. We are a 9-13 middle school situated on the outskirts of Puddletown, a small village in the beautiful Dorset countryside. We are a church school with an ethos built on the core Christian values of respect, forgiveness, justice, uniqueness, equality, acceptance and kindness.
We look to inspire our school community and give them the tools to thrive in the modern world, summed up by our school aim of 'Inspire today to shape tomorrow'. We are proud to have been assessed as an outstanding church school in our last two Church of England inspections. We expect the highest standards in both academic work and behaviour and we place our children at the centre of everything we do.
The pupils, staff and governors are very proud of our school and we hope that this website will allow you to see why. We look forward to having the opportunity to meet you in person.
Hi. My name is Debbie Allam. I am a Pastoral Teaching Assistant at St Mary's Middle and you can find me most of the time in the Teaching and Learning Centre (TLC).
My favourite teacher at school was my RE Teacher, Mrs Brownrigg. She was an AMAZING and INSPIRING lady with a very kind heart. I knew I wanted to be like her when I grew up. I really loved school and most of the subjects. I still LOVE learning and challenge myself to learn at least one new skill every year.
I have a number of favourite books I read as a young person. I love anything that sets my imagination on fire: The Faraway Tree by Enid Blyton; The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe series by C.S. Lewis; The Never Ending Story by Michael Ende; The Science Fiction Omnibus of Short Stories by Isaac Asimov et al. I used to spend a lot of time daydreaming when I was younger!
My superpower is Encouragement and one of my favourite things to do right now is to go on a Pokemon Go hunt with my children!
