Welcome to St Mary's C.E. Middle School

Thank you for visiting the website for St. Mary's C.E. Middle School. We are a 9-13 middle school situated on the outskirts of Puddletown, a small village in the beautiful Dorset countryside. We are a church school with an ethos built on the core Christian values of respect, forgiveness, justice, uniqueness, equality, acceptance and kindness.

We look to inspire our school community and give them the tools to thrive in the modern world, summed up by our school aim of 'Inspire today to shape tomorrow'. We are proud to have been assessed as an outstanding church school in our last two Church of England inspections. We expect the highest standards in both academic work and behaviour and we place our children at the centre of everything we do.

The pupils, staff and governors are very proud of our school and we hope that this website will allow you to see why. We look forward to having the opportunity to meet you in person.

School PTA

On behalf of the PTA, welcome to St Mary’s CE Middle School.

St Mary’s CE Middle Schools PTA is a registered charity and consists of four members at present; Mel Fynes (Yr 8 parent), Rosie Crumblehome (Year 6 parent),  Katie Ayres-Turner who works in the Finance department and is also a Year 6 parent and Kellie Gaughan who you will all know and recognise from the school office.

Our aim is the raise awareness of the PTA, bring the school and its families together as well as fundraise for the benefit of your children.

The PTA aim to enhance the education of the pupils in school in a number of ways:

  1. building closer relationships between the staff, parents and others associated with the school;
  2. engaging in activities which support the school and advance the education of the pupils attending it; and
  3. providing and helping to provide facilities or items for education at the school (not provided from statutory funds) that the Committee and Governing Body ask for.

We are a large school and need more members to get involved and help, if you have a little time to spare and can help with organising events, researching ideas, creating posters etc. please do get in touch. There is such a variety of work involved with the PTA so there really is something for everyone.  We are in need of committee members and helpers so please do get in touch with us on stmarysmiddlepta@gmail.com to find out more and offer your support.
