Thank you for visiting the website for St. Mary's C.E. Middle School. We are a 9-13 middle school situated on the outskirts of Puddletown, a small village in the beautiful Dorset countryside. We are a church school with an ethos built on the core Christian values of respect, forgiveness, justice, uniqueness, equality, acceptance and kindness.
We look to inspire our school community and give them the tools to thrive in the modern world, summed up by our school aim of 'Inspire today to shape tomorrow'. We are proud to have been assessed as an outstanding church school in our last two Church of England inspections. We expect the highest standards in both academic work and behaviour and we place our children at the centre of everything we do.
The pupils, staff and governors are very proud of our school and we hope that this website will allow you to see why. We look forward to having the opportunity to meet you in person.
Dear Parents and Carers,
Parent Consultation Evenings (Summer Term 2019): SUBJECT BASED
I am writing to invite you to attend one of our Parent Consultation Evenings, to be held on Monday 8th July 4.00 – 6.30pm. The aim of this evening is to provide you with the opportunity to discuss any concerns regarding your child’s summer term progress report, which will be sent home tomorrow. Appointments can be booked with either your child’s class teacher or subject teacher. Parents are welcome to book an appointment even if there are no concerns.
As you are aware we now use an online booking system for Parents’ Evening appointments. Please book your appointments on www.schoolinterviews.co.uk (Event: ypke5). If for any reason you are unable to do this, please contact the school office.
The consultations will either take place in the Hall or the Dining Room (there will be a map displayed) and each interview will last approximately 5 minutes. It is essential that we keep to time.
Any staff where you are not able to book an appointment would be happy to phone to discuss your child’s progress. Please contact the school office to arrange a call if you have any concerns.
It would be very beneficial for your child to accompany you on the evening and be part of the discussion. As this is a school activity, they should wear their school uniform.
Mrs King, SEN co-ordinator will be available for appointments until 5pm to discuss any concerns you have regarding your child’s intervention provision.
I will also be available to meet with parents – please feel free to come and speak with me. I very much look forward to meeting you next week.
