Welcome to St Mary's C.E. Middle School

Thank you for visiting the website for St. Mary's C.E. Middle School. We are a 9-13 middle school situated on the outskirts of Puddletown, a small village in the beautiful Dorset countryside. We are a church school with an ethos built on the core Christian values of respect, forgiveness, justice, uniqueness, equality, acceptance and kindness.

We look to inspire our school community and give them the tools to thrive in the modern world, summed up by our school aim of 'Inspire today to shape tomorrow'. We are proud to have been assessed as an outstanding church school in our last two Church of England inspections. We expect the highest standards in both academic work and behaviour and we place our children at the centre of everything we do.

The pupils, staff and governors are very proud of our school and we hope that this website will allow you to see why. We look forward to having the opportunity to meet you in person.

Children In Need (Non-Uniform day)

This Friday, will be a non-uniform day. The school requests that each pupil should please bring a donation of £1 together with a donation for the Christmas Fayre, which is taking place the next Saturday (26th). There will be a further non-uniform day on Friday 9th December to reward pupils for kindly donating towards the Christmas Fayre and, which, Mr Ayling feels will be very well deserved!

The PTA requires all donations in a week before the Fayre (26th Nov) which will give them time to get ready and organise all that has been received. It has been suggested that each year group provide the following items:-

Year 5/6—please bring in JOLLY JARS; a clean jar filled with WRAPPED sweets and chocolates (no nuts) and/or miscellaneous small toys. Jars should be festively decorated and there will be prizes for the best looking jars in each group.

Year 7— please bring in cosmetics or perfumed items to make up a hamper, OR a bottle for the tombola.

Year 8— please bring in festive food items to make up a hamper (non-perishable please, eg: biscuits, bottles, nibbles, chocolates) OR a bottle for the tombola.

Please note, we will be asking all parents to indicate in diaries what has been sent and to ensure that all donations arrive in school!)
