Knife Crime

  • The Ben Kinsella Trust
We are one of the leading anti-knife crime charities in the UK, set up following the tragic murder of Ben Kinsella in 2008. Our vision is of a society where no family or community suffers the loss of a life to knife crime.

  • No knifes, better lives
NKBL is a Scottish national programme that aims to deter young people from carrying knives. It is a collaboration between Scottish Government and YouthLink Scotland (the national agency for youth work in Scotland). The campaign aims to raise awareness of the consequences and information for young people, parents and practitioners to share these messages.

  • #knifefree
The Home Office website linked to the campaign to reduce knife related crime in the UK. It contains advice for parents and pupils.

  • Knife Wise app for Apple Phones
The knife wise app is an interactive quiz created by The Ben Kinsella Trust for young people and adults to test their understanding of knife crime. We are encouraging the use of the quiz app by practitioners and other adults as a tool to open a conversation about knife crime.
