Welcome to St Mary's C.E. Middle School

Thank you for visiting the website for St. Mary's C.E. Middle School. We are a 9-13 middle school situated on the outskirts of Puddletown, a small village in the beautiful Dorset countryside. We are a church school with an ethos built on the core Christian values of respect, forgiveness, justice, uniqueness, equality and acceptance.

Our aim is to give every pupil the chance to achieve their God given potential in all areas of their life and we are proud to have been assessed as an outstanding church school in our last two Church of England inspections. We expect the highest standards in both academic work and behaviour and we place our children at the centre of everything we do.

The pupils, staff and governors are very proud of our school and we hope that this website will allow you to see why. We look forward to having the opportunity to meet you in person.

When contacting the school by phone, you will initially be directed to the main school office.  You will usually speak to one of the office staff:  Mrs. Gaughan, Mrs. Newman or Mrs. Alcock.  They should be able to deal with your enquiry or can pass on a message to another member of staff if required.  The school office opening hours are from 8.30am to 4.30pm (Monday to Friday).

Should you need to speak directly to the headteacher, Mr. Darren Ayling, please select option 2 from the phone menu to be put through to the P.A. to the headteacher, Mrs. Angie Forsey.  She will be able to deal with your enquiry should the headteacher be unavailable to take your call.

Note:  Staff will do their best to return phone calls or deal with enquiries as soon as it is possible.  Please be mindful that teaching and classroom support staff will have timetabled commitments which means that they are rarely able to return a phone call immediately.

Alternatively, for non-urgent enquiries, please use the form below which will send a message to the school office.
